One found! But the other?

My body is a wreck, some of its oddities cause me a lot of problems. But it also has some weird, harmless features that I find quite funny. Here I want to discuss two of these.

The first is a condition that I remember having since I was a child. I never knew it was a recognized phenomenon, but it is! And I found its name few days ago, only at the age of 30. I must say, it gives you a very pleasant sensation when you know that something weird you have is not yours only, but others have it. And that it has also a name: Photic sneeze reflex. Simply explained: bright light makes me sneeze. It has always been like this, it is automatic that if I leave a room or closed environment and go out to the sunshine, just barely looking at the sky results in a sneeze. Not only I’ve never found this disturbing, but (as Wikipedia says) I find it quite useful: when I feel the ‘nasal discomfort’ and the stimulus is insufficient to sneeze, I can just look at a bright sky 🙂 Appearently this is congenital, but I never heard my relatives talk about it, so I don’t know if there is any of them with this thing. Sentence: I like it. Funny and useful.

The second is weird as well. But I can’t find a name or a classification for it. I completely lose strength in my hands when I laugh hard. When I write completely, I mean that if I have a glass of water in my hand and someone says something that really amuses me, I must lay the glass somewhere quickly, or I will let it fall. This is congenital, because my sister has it too. Probably it is something neurological. Of course, I like this condition too. Especially because it happens only in particularly happy moments. I searched a little in the web before I started writing this post, and I found that others have the same experience. But how is this called? This is a mistery that I have not discovered in 30 years. 🙁 Sentence: It is an effective indicator that I am having good times. But probably I could never be a surgeon with a humoros assistant…
