In this period I am trying to understand how to invest my savings. In particular, I’m wondering if it’s smart to buy precious metals. To start with, more for “folk” reasons than for a real investment, I started by buying a little gold coin in internet. I bought it from the Australian mint, and it was delivered with the postal service. But now that I received it, I must admit that two seriously negative facts made this purchase not convenient at all.

• First, the Italian governement applied monstrous taxes at the customs and made the operation super expensive (39 Euro in taxes for a tiny coin, are you crazy!?).
• Second, owning a real gold coin had some worrying effect on my behavior, as exemplified by this proof: my-precious

Whenever I send an e-mail, be it for colleagues, relatives or friends, the first thing I do right after is to open again the sent e-mail and re-read the things that I wrote. I am proud of my messages.

Whenever I park the car in areas where it’s usually difficult to find a spot (almost everywhere, here in Roma), the first thing I do right after closing the car is to step few meters aside and admire how precisely I placed it. I am proud of my parkings.

My flatmate made me discover this trash-diamond, I’m really grateful to him. I don’t know if I love more el Pasito del Delfin or la Tigresa del Oriente, this latter overflowing in her Gaga-dress and dancing on the worst green screen in video history. Why the hell should she dance over images of dirty ponds and potato fields? -_-

If you ask my mother to furnish a bedroom, be it with a single bed or with a double bed, the result is probably going to look like this:

And this is exactly how the majority of people would probably set the bed in the room. I’ve seen this style everywhere, in hotels, friend’s houses… But WHY???

Why people project the beds towards the center of the room? That is a sacred space for me! You can move around, walk, make pirouettes, dance, exercise, do everything there! It gives so much more air and freedom of movement if you put the bed like I do, which is this way, as close to the periphery of the room as possible:

I think that web-bots are becoming smarter and smarter in recognizing captchas. This is probably why giants like Google and Ryanair use increasingly intricated phrases and words. And that’s fine.

But they are starting to exaggerate! Many times I can’t decipher the captcha myself, it’s becoming a real obstacle in some online operations. Maybe the old good times of the Rapidshare Cats are about to return?

Do you remember them? You had to understand how many cats were hidden between the letters. It was extremely hard, especially because not all of them were cats, some were dogs! They made me become crazy!
